THE ADARA COFFEE EXTRA WIDE BASE POUR OVER CERAMIC COFFEE DRIPPERWhen it comes to brewing methods,ï¾ pour over coffee can produce the most fragrant, delicious cup of joe you have ever tasted. Unsurprisingly, better coffee shops the world over ï¾ from behemoths such as Starbucks to your local hipster coffee bar ï¾ are serving up coffee made in the pour over style. At its core, pour over coffee is pretty simple. To make it, you need aï¾ cone dripperï¾ withï¾ filter that contains your coffee grounds, a pot with a spout filled with just-boiled water, and your coffee cup. Like with other drip brewing methods, you pour hot water on top of the grounds, the water extracts the coffee from the grounds, the coffee runs through the filter to your cup, and you have a delicious cup of coffee to drink. The Adara Coffee Extra Wide Base Pour Over Ceramic Coffee Dripper is the perfect cone dripper for this brewing method.EXPERIMENT WITH YOUR FAVORITE COFFEE BEANS!Grinds are described on a continuum of course to fine. A course grind has larger particles than a fine grind. A bean ground coarse thus has less surface area subject to the flow of water than a bean ground finely. In other words, a fine grind is more dense than a coarse grind. As a result, water flows through coarse grinds quicker than fine grinds. What does this mean for you? Well, it allows you to make adjustments to your grind based on what you desire from your cup of coffee.Flavors in your cup of coffee are determined by the extraction process. The same coffee bean can produce different flavor profiles. At its simplest, a cupï¾s body can run between strong and weak, and its flavor between underdeveloped and bitter. Your goal is to achieve the body and flavor that taste best to you.PERFECT YOUR TECHNIQUE!Perfecting your pour over coffee brewing technique comes down toï¾ controlling the flow of the water out of your kettle, through the grounds, and into your cup.The key here is patience. The total brewing process should take between two to three minutes for a 10 to 12-ounce cup.ï¾ There are three main points to remember when you brew. First, use a kettle that allows you to pour a thin stream of water. Second, proof your grounds (i.e. get them wet with about two ounces of water and let them sit for about 30 seconds). Third, pour your water in a circular motion. We recommend timing yourself here. Remember, the sweet spot for total brewing time is between two and three minutes from start to finish.FOR USE WITH A #2 COFFEE FILTER & YOUR FAVORITE COFFEE BEANSThe setup above shows our dripper with a #2 size coffee filter and four tablespoons of coffee grounds — enough for a delicious and aromatic 12-ounce cup of coffee. The dripper (and filter) is large enough to accommodate up to eight tablespoons of coffee grounds comfortably, which is enough to brew an extra large 24-ounce cup — perfect for oversized mugs! The great thing about the pour over brewing method is it allows you maximum control over the flow of your brew and therefore the extraction of the flavor from your beans. Our brew holes are both the right size and spaced out in such a way to allow you to brew the perfect cup to your particular tastes. And that’s important because everyone has a different palate. So grab your favorite coffee and our dripper and brew yourself a delicious cup!In Greek, the word ï¾adaraï¾ means beautiful and we think that the word is appropriate when describing coffee, which is perhaps the most beautiful drink in the world. We at Adara Coffee are dedicated to coffee, its story, and its many preparations.
